The aim of the project is to support the integration of adult immigrant learners in the participating countries by developing a tool for online tutoring in order to advance the target group´s access to education or training. The means to achieve these aims are:
- to develop the teachers’ and educational institutions’ competence profile
- to educate teachers in tutoring their immigrant students by
- developing a tool for online tutoring
- developing an online short course in tutoring, aimed for teachers who work with the target group
- developing the participating teachers´ language awareness
- training teachers in producing teaching materials
- developing and testing customized, easy-to-understand materials for the target group
- to promote the inclusion and equal opportunities of adult immigrants in education and the work market
- to organize pilot short courses in language (level B1) and/or digital skills
Especially young teachers do not always have sufficient knowledge about the tutoring process to work effectively. The new tutoring tool and a tutors’ course are aimed to facilitate this process.
